Anyone else had a problem trying to put a retained number plate on a new car?
Today my car had to be registered as a 71 plate as their DVLA portal wouldn't accept my V778 cert.
Never been an issue before so why now?
Hopefully by the time they've got petrol to put in the car the number can be transferred.
I let the dealer register car then put retained plate on via dvla website. Seems much easier than trying to get it registered by dealer. Also gives a registration number for the car when/if you remove retained plate. Dealer was kind enough to make up both sets of plates for me.

Nowt to do with us, feel free to contact them about a group buy. If they want to register on here as a vendor, they can do that too. ?
I did try but got this response:
Thank you for your email, I can't authorise a forum code or provide forum logos or information on the plates unless the owner of forum/ group contacts us to discuss direct (provide artwork etc.).

They can do this by emailing me jenna@fourdot.co.uk

Any other companies offer the same thing as this company? As they might be more keen to reach a group of customers after their products...

Dear GR 'Yaris' Enthusiasts . . .

Ref: GR16 EVO

Anyone out there seriously interested in making an offer on this one?

It's on retention and has not been assigned to any GRY to date. I have title of ownership.

PM me / comment here if interested.

David.

I would remove this
naughty people have all the details they need to now assign it to them selves (steal it)

I managed to get a discount code from FOURDOT but.....only for their Signature range which are £145!
I wanted the Zero plates so I'll probably go elsewhere for similar ones albeit not quite as short.

Thank you for your interest in the GR- Yaris Signature Plates.
Please let your members know they can you use code: GRYARIS10
It's a one use code per customer on the Signature Range only
It is a 10% off code
If they want anything extra i.e. logo, or wording they can put this in the order comments box and the team will create this for them.

I spoke to them yesterday about this code and ordered signature plates a couple days ago for mine - they arrived this AM and I will get them on the car this weekend and share pics - I know they are only number plates but they lift a cars look imo and fourdot are best quality and I like the look of the signatures on the Yaris… I've had their zero plates as well which are top notch also !

Just a note on zero plates.

I have them on mine, but the rear plate height is a tricky fit due to the factory holes for the numberplate, which are unseen on a normal sized plate. On mine the zero plate doesn't cover 100% of the mounting area on the tailgate, more like 99.5%. So from some angles it appears as if the plate was stuck on and pushed with too much force into the aluminium behind the plate.

It's only noticeable from some angles, but I'm assuming this affects all zero plates, unless the height is determined by the number of characters.
