Tail lamp? Haven't actually opened so don't know how it looks like.
They have a rubber electrical boot which is taped up. Took the old tape off, added the camera wire in with the other looms for the lights and re-taped up. As good as it was before so no problem there. I should of took a picture! If I have to take the light back off I will do to show ?

Breaking which seal?

Please excuse the poor clips, they will be replaced once I find some more suitable and discreet but this is the route i've taken. No seals broken?

Please can either of you put up pictures of the route you have both used? I would rather find the best one so will use yours if its better.
I'm still thinking of ways to go in through the roof atenna as I would much prefer everything to be hidden.

Thanks.
yes, the wire is down the plastic. you can remove it in pull the part.
and the wire go into the car by right rear lights
Thanks, how have you secured the wire? Could you share a picture if possible please?
I thought i'd take the shark fin antenna off to have a look inside and see if there any possibility of feeding the wire through there but the whole unit is used up. The electronic board in there is spread out so without removing all of that its a no go which is a shame as I think that would of been the ultimate OEM looking install. The hole in the roof also has no room for any extra wires either so you'd have to drill a hole in the roof ?

Has anybody wired the rear camera through the roof/antenna? I am thinking of doing this, attaching Magnus's camera mount/holder to the antenna and then wrapping them complete in a gloss black wrap to look all as one.

I need help 3D scanning the shark fin to make a good complete replacement, I've asked around but haven't found anyone to do it so far.

I've made a taller housing so there are three versions uploaded to Thingiverse now https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4723960
I've seen that, it looks really good! I was asking how does it secure to the roof? To make sure it doesn't come off?

Also, what size of camera does it accommodate, are they a standard size? I was looking at your recommendation of the Vantop and they have a few in the range so I might go for the best, would the rear camera be bigger if the resolution is better?

Does it matter which side of the mirror the camera is on for LHD/RHD applications do you know? You are LHD I see and the camera is mounted on the L/H side of the back of the mirror to give the drivers perspective so would it be at the wrong side for the RHD market or do you think it doesn't matter?

I screwed it onto the large plastic cover with a 3d printed bracket. But bend two pieces of metal or anything similar would do too. Attaching to the original mirrors mounting is a bit far off to use a 3d printed long arm. Possible but not optimal IMHO to get stable and shake free.
Sorry I meant the rear view camera mounted on the top of the roof at the back of the car behind the shark fin.
