Seems self cleaning, it was foggy with condensation (moist atmosphere and temps going below zero C) and it cleared. Very good 'visibility' compared to OE narrow letterbox view. EDIT: and with wide angle of view NO blind spots anymore!

Dashcam itself looks like good image quality (Sony sensors), camera to the right and extendable, now good deal (I paid full ), originally bought for adjustable back-up lines on other car but ended up here, backup function is useless on top of roof so still need the original reverse cam.

Joining the club. Showing how I bent a bracket in 1mm aluminium and using self-adhesive velcro.

Hooks on the cover and take the main weight, velcro keeps it put + easy to remove mirror.

Can't go higher... Angled up a bit so no unwanted reflections

Big thanks to @MagnusT for inspiration and the print part

That's the PRO version which is a full replacement mirror. Not sure it fits, and if it does, if it solves the low mirror issue.
The non-PRO version (clip on version) is the one I have (V5). Working well so far.

100€ is a lot but at the same time, lots of small tune parts are sold for that sum? Cheaper if you order more and share with local enthusiasts?

I would choose PC, PA or PET, or other bit higher grade plastics when going through the trouble...

Maybe go in on the underside of the tail lamp to avoid water flooding from above breaking the seal? I've gone just straight down from the antenna, over boot seal and into the roof liner from there. Up top water collects in the gutter anyway.

Has anybody wired the rear camera through the roof/antenna? I am thinking of doing this, attaching Magnus's camera mount/holder to the antenna and then wrapping them complete in a gloss black wrap to look all as one.
That would be nice, but I think you can do the wrap thing anyway.
Now there is literally a few mm cable showing before it goes under full roof width cover that simply clicks into place. From there it lies in the gutter under the hatch before passing the boot seal. Little to no risk for leakage.
When going through the antenna, you'll need to make hole for the cable to pass, and will have more difficulty to properly seal it as it's fully exposed to the elements. Everything is possible but it's definitely more invase with very little benefit...
