I've seen a poor quality photo of this on the internet and though the original might be of some interest to you all.
If that's two intermediate services and two full services plus the £200 for four safety checks, it's cheap..... Or they've got it wrong. No small print and confirmed with dealer and plan received as 4 services, the safety check is as it states a safety check not a service.
it is seemingly a deal that Arnold Clark has in place for new sales.
Had questioned it at the time, just received the plan and it is clearly 4 services in the 4 year period for GR Yaris.
Will be two intermediate and two full, expect to pay for some of the safety checks that are not being carried out at a service. If that's two intermediate services and two full services plus the £200 for four safety checks, it's cheap..... Or they've got it wrong.
The intermediate has just seen a price increase.
It's worded to cover 4 services, could be say 6000,12000,18000,24000 or year 1,2,3,4Would not worry about cost looks like they think car needs service annually rather than every 6000 miles 4 years 4 services
Or have you said you will only do 6000 a year ?
I think the UK is the only country with the 6 month check anyway. Here it's just normal service intervals.Hang on so not paying or doing the £50 service check doesn't void warranty?
It won't be when u need the warranty for a £5k fix in 8 years time and Toyota say no due to saving a couple of hundred quid. You would then have to spend a few more £k on lawyers to argue that 'recommended' does not mean 'mandatory' in a court. It's less than a tank of fuel - just play the game….It's quite comical the different things people are hearing.
I think you and I are on the same side here thenNo not particularly - I agree every dealer has a different view. But far too much faith being given to verbal agreements or chats with the dealer etc. If the warranty is needed years down the line those chats are often forgotten and the person who said it long gone. For what it's worth I do think that recommended and mandatory are two very different things…. But it's not worth the arguments in the future
