Any tips how to fit these? I'm really struggling!!

I'm aligning the larger clips at the sides which I'm pretty sure is correct but however I try it they just won't fit in the hole. I've tried a plastic trim tool to force them in but still no joy.

What on earth am I doing wrong?

I’m pretty sure deeper clips go to the sides. But its so long since I measured mine. Theres a 1 mm difference side to side vs top to bottom so worth checking.
The nose of the clips can be rounded off a little with a file to help

Also push clips in square, rather than trying to push one clip in first then the other one. Theres not enough flex to put it in at an angle.

Clips go at the side - but they are still a bit of a pig to get in & I was a bit concerned I might break the grille ?. Mine were given a bit of a fettle with a narrow file until I was brave enough to push them in (on the plus side I don’t think they’ll be falling out!)

I actually only measured the holes in the solid part of the bumper, not the lower holes, so I never actual made any for that area. The holes may be different.
Apologies to anyone having difficulties with the upper holes.

Would you be prepared to share the STL file for these if you don't fancy making more? My new printer arrives this week and would give me something to try printing first

Mine were a pig to get it, I scraped the paint off the clips to help but still ended up snapping one of the clips. Even with the clip missing it was still tight to get in so won’t go anywhere.

Sorry some of you are having issues. Its probably just that the PETG plastic is too rigid and brittle. I used it as it is heat stable and some other black plastics will melt in the sun.

If you have issues breaking them then please message me directly.

I only made these as people asked me too, it was never meant to be a business.
I will fulfil any remaining orders for blank plugs. But after that I will not be taking any more orders, it’s just too much hassle.

I will start a thingiverse account, and upload the file there so people can print / make their own if they wish.

I haven't got car yet but if I have to do a bit of fetteling to get them to fit it's better than big gaps so thanks for making them to start with

Thank you for sharing the file, really appreciate it. Surprised at the PETG being too brittle, I made some centre caps out of PLA recently that snapped into place on a set of wheels. If anything I would have expected them to break. PETG arrives today though so will try that, don't want them melting in the sun we never get here ?

Mine are in paint at the moment, I'm sure they'll be fine with a bit of fettling.....I'm loving the short plates though.

The tin plates supplied by Toyota GB are truly shocking and to stop them vibrating they had been held down with some cheapo double sided tape.
