I went back to the stock rims recently from my very heavy winter rims, oooh what a relief. The ONLY differences with my winter after market rims (that made quite an impact on the driving) were 7mm lower ET and a lot heavier rims. Made an impact on tramlining but also heavier steering around center. This with the same tyres (I temporarily had the CUP2C on them)
This is important, some people don't believe it makes a difference...

I'm curious how the car will react to lighter wheels with a different offset.
Lighter wheels give less flywheel effect, lighter steering with more feel and generally better damping.

Different, usually lower, offset changes scrub radius. E.g. in Sweden we have a lot of rutted roads due to wear from studded tyres, leading to tramlining, torque steer on power and brake steer when braking. 5mm I definitely feel. Worst I've tried, a tuned Focus Rs mk2 fwd with 20mm offset change becomes near undriveable as one wrestles the steering wheel almost all the time (accelerating, braking, lane change even on minor rutted surface)...

On my M2 a reduction of ET of 20(!) mm on stock 9" wheels and 3 degrees camber worked just as well as stock oddly enough. A bit surprising to be honest, I was expecting tramlining and odd behaviour. But no, nothing. With 10" and 265 fronts instead of 245 on 9" some tyres tramlined but some did not, so a bit more sensitive to tyre choice than stock. So with the GRY I was surprised of the very obvious differences I got with the much smaller changes.

Bmw is special, they use a double knuckle design that doesn't have a traditional king pin axle. But not as good for steering feel...

So is the best choice to try and keep the standard ET45 if possible, ive been hunting around for wheels but most sites you can not search by ET.
Motegi Racing do a MR145 Traklite 3 wheel 18x9.5 ET45 which is also light, but made in the USA and by the time they get to the UK they are 2.5x the price.
Where did you find Motegi Racing wheels are made in the USA?

They're dirt cheap in Australia https://www.thewheeldeal.com.au/whe...egi-racing/mr145-traklite-3-0/motegi-racing-mr145-traklite-3-0-satin-black.html (AUS$265 ea for your chosen specs = ~ 148GBP .)

This link shows they're also made in China (scroll down to the "Description" field) https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=MR14588552735B&wheelMake=MOTEGI RACING&wheelModel=MR145 Traklite 3&wheelFinish=Black Painted&showRear=no&autoMake=Honda&autoModel=Civic+Type+R&autoYear=2021&autoModClar=

I'm not saying that means they're rubbish, just they're not made in the USA.

I looked and could only find people selling them in the USA, I thought they were made there, my mistake, but they are around ÂŁ550-600 a set in USA but over ÂŁ1200 here, which is annoying. Especially as they do them in the correct ET. Only place I can find that sells them is performance alloys.

Thanks. Shame not side on in better resolution. Difficult to gauge the colour of the titans. Where does it fit in the colour spectrum? Between dark silver and light bronze? I'm a bit colourblind
It is bronze.
Here's the link to the original picture. Maybe it has a better resolution.

Any pictures of them on?
I just put one on the car for the pictures.
These are not the final Lug Nuts (most likely) and there are no center rings in, so i won't drive the car out.
But you'll get to see the finished pictures in my thread most likely this week.
