I certainly won’t want to be driving such an SWB car over 140mph. I have driven plenty of other cars above that speed, but all had longer wheelbases, and were designed for higher sustained top speed and cruising.

i am not putting the GR in that high speed cruiser bracket in my mind.

Doesn't the GT3 have a shorter wheelbase than the GRY?

No idea, but The GT3, and all the 911s, are developed to go 200+mph on the Mulsanne straight, rather than for the forest stages.

Centre of gravity, steering, Electronic systems, airflows over and under car, all optimised with those speeds in mind.

Clearly this is not the case for the GR, whose brief marches to a different beat. Therein probably lies the reason for the limited top speed of the GR.

I know which one I'd prefer to have to make a high speed lane change in.
