Looks like there is a crack on the one with the gap. Bird strike maybe!

 

No there’s no crack that’s just where the removable tow eye panel meets the grille panel

I think it’s just not as rigid on that side due to the toe eye panel so the gaps a bit wider as the plastics are so flimsy on these

 

I can't spot the crack?

The 'line' in the 2nd picture is the join in the removable panel

 

Looked at the demo at local dealer and that is the same as mine and a few for sale online showed the same as well

must just be the recycled milk bottle plastic not being very strong!

Think of the weight saving though.
