Me too, I absolutely must have heated seats. ?
I would have loved heated seats in mine. My last car (GT86) had them and I used them all the time. I was thinking about retrofitting them, but now I've had the car a month, I don't think I'll bother. Reason is, the seat has Alcantara on all the touch points including the side bolsters so it isn't that cold when you get in. The heater comes on within a mile of driving and it is extremely powerful with a real punch to heating up the interior. I think with my old GT86, you had to rely on the seat heater as it took a lot longer to get heat out of the blower.

Perfect Lauren, just what I needed to hear! Really described accurately. My current M135i Xdrive has alcantara seats which aren't 'cold cold' as soon as I get in on a very cold morning. Great to hear about the heater also, reminds me of my old STi's which would also heat up within minutes ?

My car is due to arrive May/June, and especially given the weather right now, I desperately want heated seats! I've retrofitted heated seats in the past (Ford) using completely OEM parts, so will be happy to do it on my Yaris if the "how" is worked out! :)

I'd be more interested in a heated steering wheel. Having driven in the cold snap recently the seats aren't cold at all being fabric. The wheel on the other hand is the coldest I've ever used!

I'm fortunate that my current car (Focus RS) has both the heated seats and wheel. I'd like the heated wheel too, but I suspect that will be pretty expensive!

Good news. Bad news.

Bad news, the LHD switch sub assembly arrived and sadly they are sided. The LHD sub assembly will not fit RHD cars. Next time I'm at my mates workshop I'm going to see if I can use the 3D scanner. Maybe it's possible to reverse engineer a RHD part that we can 3D print.

Good news, thanks to @MagnusT, we have more info on how the heated steering wheel is wired. I don't get my car back from the detailer until Sunday but if someone in the UK wants to check their car look for a gap at 'STRG-HTR'.

I currently have a Toyota Corolla (as I work for Toyota). The (heated)seats in the Corolla are identical to the YGR seats. I keep meaning to speak with an vehicle assembly engineer in Derby to get some info on the heated seat System Wiring. Unfortunately the Corolla switches are inset and would not transfer easily, but the control and switching would be far easier I think.

AU/NZ appears to be RoW model and uses a different shape switch to EU6 models (post 15).
Thanks CC. Does that matter, if it fits the UK centre console? (Sorry if that's a stupid question!). The middle pic in post 15 looks like RHD with switches - I wasn't clear what it's off.
