I spend a lot of time driving at night and find the light inside the cabin affect my night vision (getting old). All the other car's I've owned in the last 10 years have either a button or menu to turn the screen off.

Does anyone know how to turn off the infotainment display please. I've been through what I think is all the menus but can't the way. I'm starting to think it's not possible.

It's one of the 2 round buttons just push it in

 

Sorry, I mean put the screen to sleep without turning the radio off.

 

Press menu and in the bottom right corner it will say display then screen off.

Robin beat me to it - I also do this, and the good news is it remembers the setting between starts. It's also good that the screen doesn't need to be used for anything important (the steering wheel controls and driver display can do it all). I will only ever use it for (Apple CarPlay) navigation, and rarely.

Something else I noticed. While the system allows you to lock the display to day mode (white background) it will not let you lock it to night mode (dark background). Only way I found around this is to cover the light sensor in the dash.
