I have in my loft 4 completely bare circuit pack wheels, they have done 200 miles from new and removed from the car when I arrived home. Do you think it's worth putting them on the for sale board as they will never go back on the car, if so approx value.

Prices seem all over the place now cars are older etc . A lot of salvage / breakers are selling for unrealistic money and they need refurb on top of, no thanks . No tyres tops and original / mint £2250 if you find a buyer . Lowest £2000. People are becoming penny pinchy . Seen a few sets sell nearly new with Michelin tyres for £2200 after advertising at £2700 . Think the grand a wheel days have gone . Good luck 👍

Got a set on here , convenience set , Twelve hundred quid , bare wheels . Thought they might have gone by now . Obviously every one wants the circuit ones or Ozzies but I would like to think whoever bought them would probably get there money back with them being rare and OEM . Will keep them if they don’t draw asking price .

Yes , everyone to there own , I respect that but I need to be honest , if Toyota state Standard / convenience and circuit all have same performance figures 0 to 100 etc then I struggle to understand how a circuit car is quicker or more agile with any real world noticeable difference. Maybe 100th of a second here and there . An average person in passenger seat is probably 70kg and my car drives , goes and corners the same as on my Tod without any noticeable difference , with 3 or 4 people plus the Shetland pony 😂 then yes it does feel different . Each corner on standard wheels is 2kg heavier, which equates to 8 kg ? Which is 8 times lighter than a person at 70kg , on that I really struggle to actually notice the difference. Maybe the speedlines are 13/14 kg ? Same as the Rally style OZZIES . Driven circuit packs and I personally couldn’t tell the difference with anything. Not on B roads anyway . Just thought I would share some light hearted thoughts.👍

2 kilos a corner is night and day, its NOT the weight of the wheels in your hands or as a percentage of the whole cars weight..its the ROTATIONAL MASS !! lighter wheels/tyre package speeds up and decelerates quicker than heavy old wheels. Its also about UNSPRUNG WEIGHT and effect on springs and dampers, fuel economy, acceleration, all affected. Then theres gyro effect, ever had a gyroscope toy? or spun a bikes wheel in your hands holding the axle and tried to move it around? A lighter wheel has less gyro than a wheel with more mass so lighter wheels turn and change direction easier ! Have a google and get some headucation !

Fair comment and no offence taken, but with the Speedline’s I could feel the difference within the first 500 mtrs and it drove like dog sh!t in comparison.

All subjective and a matter of opinion.

I haven’t driven a car with the convenience pack wheels so I couldn’t give you an honest opinion on them.

What I will say is that heavier wheels will almost always be a compromise.

As always, just in my humble opinion.

I thought I would be ok with the Turini’s as I’ve had many sets over the years on 3-4 Subaru’s. But thinking about it they were probably lighter than the OE wheels at that time.

Im guessing the 18 x 8 Turini’s are about 10 - 11 kg, not bad for a durable rally wheel but quite a lot heavier than our BBS offering.

I paid £1400 for a set that I use as winters, no tyres or TPMS. I’m always on the lookout for another set to have as spares, but wouldn’t pay more than £1200 these days. There are loads of sets for sale for £2000-£3000 and individual ones for £500-£600, but pretty much every set/rim I can see have been for sale forever, asking prices and what they’re actually worth are very different things.

People asking mental money always quote new dealer prices, but I don’t think it’s that relevant as I don’t know anyone who’s ever paid full dealer prices. My sensible car is an X5, I bought an immaculate set of OEM 22”s with very good tyres for £1500, brand new from a dealer they’d have been over £4500, who’d actually pay that?
