give it couple hundred miles should settle in a bit
Yeh ive been out driving for my weekend drive and yes it has settled in quite a bit. It just vibrates when on cold start and is fine on tickover when warm. When driving there is just one point when it vibrates and that around 1300 to 1500 rpm and its not that bad now. Its made a massive difference to the car the gear changes are so much more smoother and the front end just seems to be solid. I ordered a new dna mount in anger but reckon I dont need it now this airtec one seems to be good.

I'm curious to see what part is on the GR Corolla because nobody has ever mentioned sloppy gearbox positions nor drivetrain movement in regards to that car yet. They must have either changed the part or use way denser rubber. Surely it's not identical part numbers!

Just fitted the powerflex black torque mount insert, agree with OP, zero noticeable additional NVH. Has anyone fitted the black series upper engine and gearbox mounts - i.e the full set - and if so whats the NVH like? Thinking i'll fit the full set now.

I have black upper, paired with dna road torque (mid between black and yellow) and yellow lower insert. There is noticable nvh in idle, at low rev with ac on but i dont give a **** cos its worth it 😉

I've just ordered the Powerflex upper engine and gearbox mount in yellow. Will report back once I have them fitted with the black series torque mount insert.

I have all the powerflex inserts in black - only the lower torque mount made any real difference.

The lower torque mount really does change the way the car feels more stable in all areas, gear changes are more accurate, pulling away is smoother more direct, car is more stable mid corner when changing direction on and off throttle. I'd be hard pushed to identify any changes after the engine and gearbox mounts were added. I run a straight through pipe so never noticed any additional NVH :devilish:

Fair enough pal, straight through pipe here too. **** it might as well go all black then 😂

Update:

Well........ that's a shame. My whiteline black inserts tightened everything up for about 500 miles and I was loving the car again but now there's all that annoying movement back during gear changes...
Along with the idlling vibration annoying me I might as well go full hog... o_O So I'm on the lookout for a hardrace torque mount!
I've always had an aftermarket torque mount on my last 4 modified cars but I was hoping I would not have to touch this GR Yaris at all but oh well... :giggle:

I have installed the Airtec Purple. After the installation, I also noticed that the car sometimes "rattled" very loudly at idle, but I could live with it even if it was a bit noisy.
A week ago I noticed that the rear license plate was not properly attached (the glue had not held at the bottom).
New adhesive tape added, now the rattling is gone, only the vibrations that remain.

Maybe one of the other mounts failed?
Yeah I may get the other bushes done at the same time...

Oh yeah I found that numberplate one early into ownership! o_O ...I had to fit sticky pads behind the plate at either end to stop the vibrating on acceleration! o_O

I recently installed all 3 Powerflex yellow inserts.
my 2 cents to the product:
1st I installed the torque mount on the lower side. after doing some research it seems that the insert needs to be on top. so had to redo it. it comes with 0 instructions
🤷‍♂️

the design of the engine mount insert with the flimsy zip tie is a joke. I secured the supplied zip tie with another zip tie. this mount supports most of the weight of the engine+transmission, so I guess it is a very temporary solution. I will go with a stainless tie as soon the plastic ties snap. but in the long run maybe a better aftermarket solution can be available?

the transmission mount was a bit fiddly to install, what concerns me a bit, is that the screw holes of the bracket allow quite a bit of movement so I am not sure if I tightened the engine/transmission in an “ideal” angle, as it moves back and forth when supporting with a jack from below
🤔

all in all I am very satisfied with the improvement the car feels. I went for PF yellow as most of the time I use the car as a daily with occasional track days. on idle there is a little bit more vibration, going over transverse bumps feels a bit harsher too, but the benefits of shifting improvement and acceleration behavior are worth it

Ive had my airtec one on for a while now and its softened a bit and its excellent now.
To be fair, from my research of looking on the two forums. Most people have the airtec one. 70% of posts seem to be people saying I have an airtec one... I just associate them too much with intercoolers but if it works, it works lol! o_O 😁
