Just installed my CAE today, wasn't sure how much of a difference it would make but it actually feels great especially when hooning. Took a bit of messing about to get it set up properly but everything feels nice and tight now and no issue selecting any gears.

I think it's one of those things where if you've got the money it's a nice upgrade but I wouldn't say it's essential, you can get half the effect for under a couple of hundred quid with assorted parts (cough, cough..). The CAE is a very well engineered bit of kit though.

Will be working on a carbon knob for it and potentially a vanity panel to cover the exposed guts of the car over the next few weeks

Get a nylon knob for it. Without heated seats and steering wheel that metal knob is going to feel super cold. :)

Love the kit, but cant live without proper boot trim...anyone has got solution for it?
Yeah, I solved the problem... Proper, well, kind of

Gonna post a pic later!

Glad this works for you :ROFLMAO:

Got to love the little stickers on the drive mode switch, too! While I won't be putting stickers on mine, I must admit I prefer the clarity of numbers instead of the vagueness of generic (marketing) terms like Sport, Track, etc.
It actually works pretty well...

No more cigarette lighters and junk food falling into the drivetrain

The little stickers gain some time because of "no guessing anymore"...

One of the best features of the GR Yaris is the factory shifter. CAE looks cool, but difficult to work with (especially daily) - perhaps more suited to an older track car with a crap long-throw factory shifter eg Mini.
