Good news. Bad news.

Bad news, the LHD switch sub assembly arrived and sadly they are sided. The LHD sub assembly will not fit RHD cars.

Been thinking further. Assuming that [more or less] the LHD base assembly is just a mirror image of the RHD one, but with two additional switch holes, what is the actual fixing mechanism for the switches into the base assembly? Not a great view in the pic of the LHD one, but I can see that the edges of the switch hole are bevelled I think. I'm thinking along the lines of it perhaps being possible that we could modify an RHD one in some way. Can you do a pic of the inside and outside surfaces of the LHD one?

This is a pic of convenience pack driver seat btw. Airbag and seat presence sensor connections? Is the white one heated seats?

The cables would be visible, so I think it very very unlikely.

Correct, the white reciprocal is the heated seats plug.

Just checked on my Corolla and the plugs look identical and that has heated seats. Unfortunately it’s raining or I could try and do a resistance check across the heater.

I've just checked the white plug, under my convenience pack seat - nope, no wires behind. :-(

Can a circuit pack owner tell us if they have this plug under the seat?

The white socket - if it was pre-wired (as the Ford Foci are) to have heated seats, then there would be a harness terminating in the socket.

the setup in the GRY (in the photo) shows an open socket with what appears to be a wiring harness in the back of it. My Corolla has the same but obviously there is a plug in the socket and that plug has the supply cables connected to it (as it has heated seats). Hope that is clear.

Yes, clear, but GR Fan says no wiring in the back of the socket....

Haha well thats that then. My car doesn't arrive till June, so I'm sorted until November ?. Loads of time to find a solution.

Yes that socket is there. Nothing connected to it. Standard feature on UK seats from manufacture.
Now remember those the show cars doing the rounds last August onwards. They had working heated seats. I looked under the seat bases and took pics. All connected up. So someone is not being straight with us.
Aussie spec, sub wiring loom, switches and heating elements required. Can't see that being cheap but it's do-able as they already have !
